Teignmouth & Dawlish Ramblers

Walking in South Devon

Message Board

Unfortunately we have had to change the Evening Walk planned for Wednesday 25th July as the Manager of The Pig and Whistle Pub has refused us permission to park in his car park
Instead the walk is as follows:

Meet 7.0 pm Viaduct Dawlish (GR 964765) for a walk along Lady's Mile to Dawlish Warren returning along the seawall. About 3 miles
Leader Anne Mc

PLEASE NOTE the Walk originally planned for 25th will become a Tea Shop Walk on 1st September - with a different start point (ie the Berry Pomeroy Castle Car park)

A Local Walk with Rainbows, Showers and Sun

RamblersAnni cake wb

Following formal business at last week's AGM when T&D Ramblers celebrated their 30th Anniversary with a cake made and designed by Doreen c/o Alice Cross, this Sunday, 21 'long' walkers, including 4 visiting guests, joined Deborah who led a local walk of just over 8 miles.

They gathered at Cockwood before proceeding to Cofton and then north, across footpaths, some wet and muddy, towards Mamhead. Beautiful rainbows preceded showers blown by a north westerly wind, the final shower being accompanied by hail. Nevertheless, by the time they reached the new Dawlish Country Park on their return journey, the sun was out on a beautifully clear day.

Thank you Deborah
